What are your hours of operation?
Our hours vary by location and by time of year. Please visit our locations page and select the location of your choice to view their hours of operation.

Are you open for lunch?
We open at noon on Sundays only.

How many crab legs do you serve?
We serve over 1.5 million pounds of crab legs per year.

What are your prices?
Our Adult Buffet is $34.99, children ages 5-12 are $18.99, and children ages 4 and under eat for free from the buffet with the purchase of an adult buffet. Soda, tea, and coffee are $2.99 with unlimited free refills.

What is offered on your buffet?
We offer over 70 items on our buffet. We serve Alaskan snow crab legs and fresh, steamed shrimp on our buffet every day. We specialize in seafood, but we also have other wonderful non-seafood options. You may find a complete list of our buffet items on our buffet menu page.

What non-seafood items do you serve on your buffet?
Also on our buffet, we offer sirloin steak, pork barbeque ribs, chicken, macaroni and cheese, rice, vegetables, salads, fruit, and a huge dessert bar.

Do you offer a menu?
Yes, we offer an a la carte and children’s menu that you and your child may order from if you prefer.

Do you accept reservations?
Generally speaking, we accept reservations for parties of ten or more during limited times of the afternoon and evening. During the summer months and on Saturdays throughout the year, each location has separate reservation policies that are extremely limited. Please contact the specific restaurant you wish to visit for more information and to schedule a reservation. We can only answer reservation questions and schedule reservations Monday through Friday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Do you offer a group rate?
Yes, we offer a group rate for parties of 30 or more adults if paid in advance and paid all on one check. There is a two-hour time limit for parties receiving the group rate. Please contact the restaurant you wish to visit for more information.

Do you book large parties and/or corporate events?
Yes, we can accommodate parties of all sizes and occasions. Please contact the restaurant you wish to visit for more information.

Do you have on-site parking?
Yes, we have on-site parking to accommodate our guests.

When did Captain George’s open for business?
Our first location in Virginia Beach, VA, opened in 1982. Our Williamsburg, VA, location opened in 1985. We opened our Myrtle Beach, SC, location in 2000. Our newest location in Kill Devil Hills, NC, opened in 2009. All locations opened their doors in May.

How many people do you seat?
Our Virginia Beach, VA, location seats 900 guests. Our Williamsburg, VA, location seats 800 guests. Our Kill Devil Hills, NC, location is expanding to seat 500 guests. Our Myrtle Beach, SC, location is expanding to seat 1050 guests.

Are you wheelchair-accessible?
Yes, we have accessible parking, ramps, and floor-level seating.

Do you do anything special for birthdays or other special occasions?
Yes, we are delighted that you have chosen to spend your special day at Captain George’s. Please inform your server that you are celebrating. Your server can bring out a mini cake with a candle prepared especially for the guest of honor, and then everyone can enjoy the dessert bar together.

Do you accommodate people who are gluten-free?
We are happy to offer a variety of options for the pleasure of our gluten-intolerant customers. Upon arrival to the restaurant, please inform a manager of your dietary needs. A kitchen manager will be happy to walk you through our buffet and offer information regarding preparation. If you do not see something you would enjoy from the buffet, we will be happy to prepare something for you from the kitchen using a freshly sterilized pan to avoid any cross-contamination. Do you accommodate people with peanut or other allergies?
Yes, we do not use peanut oil in any of our preparation. We only use vegetable oil. We do have nuts in some of our desserts. When you arrive, please ask for a manager and explain your particular allergy. We will have a kitchen manager walk you through the buffet and explain which items are safe for you to consume. Our management team is very knowledgeable of food-borne allergies. If you do not see something you would enjoy from the buffet, we will be happy to prepare something for you from the kitchen using a freshly sterilized pan to avoid any cross-contamination. Do you offer a discount for guests who have had gastric-bypass surgery?
Individuals who have had gastric-bypass surgery may dine from our buffet for $21.99. Upon arrival, please provide your card to your server for management approval. Upon approval, we provide two plates, one large and one small. Additionally, we have an a la carte menu that you may order from if you prefer.

Do you offer any coupons or discounts?
We do not offer coupons or discounts. We do, however, feature our buffet at a reduced price on Sundays. This is called our First Catch special and is available every Sunday from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m., with the exception of Easter, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day. The cost is $29.99 for adults. Only at our Myrtle Beach location, we also offer our First Catch special Monday through Friday from 4PM to 5PM and Saturday from 3Pm to 4PM. During this time, our adult buffet is $31.99. Do you sell gift cards?
Yes, you may purchase a gift card online or by visiting our restaurant. Our gift cards may be used at all four locations, they never expire, and they make excellent gifts.

How soon will I receive my gift card?
After you place your order, we mail our gift cards the following business day. We ship via the United States Postal Service, so unfortunately, we have no way to track the order and cannot give a definite delivery date. For this reason, please allow 7-10 business days for delivery.

Do you have a dress code?
We are a casual, family dining restaurant. We do require appropriate dress from our guests. No bathing suits are permitted. Shirt and shoes are required.

Do you serve alcohol?
Yes, we offer beer, wine, and have a fully-stocked bar.

Can I bring in a cake and decorations?
Yes, you may bring in a cake. Decorations are limited to balloons and table centerpieces. We cannot allow decorations to be taped to our walls. No other food or drink is permitted.

Do you offer the buffet to go?
Yes, we do offer the buffet to go. It is $34.99 and includes two large to go boxes and one small to go box. All boxes must be able to close.

Are you hiring?
You may fill out an application on line or by visiting the location where you wish to apply during regular business hours. A member of our management team will contact you if they wish to set up an interview.

What is the status of my application?
We do not give out this information over the phone. A manager will call you after thoroughly reviewing your application if we wish to set up an interview.
